Warm colors and soft modern finishes were chosen to usher in a new chapter for this 1960's contemporary. From river rock to glass tiles to sliver leaf and custom furniture and cabinetry, the perfect backfdrop was created for the 7' reef aquarium whtich sits center stage.
The fireplace wall was redesigned to create an architectural feature around the fireplace. The mantel, credenza and new bar area are customized pieces.
To come home to a space not stylized in the usual mannner of a media room brings an element of welcome. Cork walls provide textural interest and sound buffering for the integration of optimum sound & relaxation.  Custom rolling doors open into an adjoining guest room. Design Ovation Winner 2006.  The design goal was to create a space that allows the senses to enjoy nature.  As night falls, the stars dance across the ceiling via fiber optic lighting.  Supended bunks create the feeling of sleeping under the stars.
Legacy of Design Winner 2007.  The demolition of an angled sink peninsula and bar, and one cumbersome wall, provided for improved traffic flow and a built in table for five.
Everything in the eclectic, contemporary kitchen was formulated with the family-oriented client in mind, including a height specific work island.
Lemon Ice granite adorns the counter tops and complements the green glass tiles used for the backsplash.
A custom floating vanity is decked with a pure white porcelain bowl and chrome faucet.  A round back lit Tech Lighting mirror adds to the flood of light streaming in from the tall narrow window at the end of the space.

This former, elongated Jack and Jill guest bath was transformed into a modern, clean space that radiates body and soul rejuvenation.
Contrasting textures and tones, both subtle and dramatic, elevate this  kitchen out of the ordinary.  With plenty of storage and a careful mix of materials, this functional kitchen seemlessly integrates with the adjoining dining room.
 The existing bar are was enlarged, allowing for a sink and extra surface space, while the newly designed bar houses the wine refrigerator and ice maker. Beautiful glass tile complete the space.
In planning the new layout, a wall was removed and an angled wall was straightened, allowing for the design of an architectural screening wall and eat-in breafkast area with wall-hung TV.  Custom floor to ceiling cabinets were designed for maximum storage. Cork flooring was installed over existing marble.
Existing overhead cabinets were redesigned and recessed into the side walls, allowing two exquisite vessel bowls and brush satin fixtures to be placed on the new resin countertop.  Recessed lighting and backlit mirrors create a soft glow throughout the space while large screen print tiles expand the space as if entering infinity.
By removing the existing tub, a large walk-in shower was built with state of the art fixtures, seamless glass and pebble walls.  The senses are awakened by the view of the private gardens just outside the shower.
A jungle theme room was the request by this young client.  The custom bed was positioned at a bay window allowing more floor space in the room.  All funiture pieces are custom built.
