San Antonio Design Community
HONORING A BELOVED MEMBER
Robin Black, ASID, past president of the ASID Texas Chapter, and beloved member of the ASID San Antonio Design Community, has been honored with the 2012 ASID Chapter Medalist Award.
The ASID Chapter Medalist Award is the highest award bestowed by ASID on Society members at the chapter level in recognition of outstanding service and significant contributions to their chapter and to the body of knowledge that supports the profession of interior design.
The medal is granted on the basis of fulfilling all of the three following criteria:
• Outstanding and significant service to interior design education and/or an ASID chapter.
• Significant local, regional or national contributions to interior design education.
• Outstanding, significant and continued contributions that have enriched the human experience.
Congratulations, Robin, on this incredible achievement, as well as your contribution to the book “Independent for Life: Homes and Neighborhoods for an Aging America” that was recently favorably reviewed in the The New York Times The New Old Age blog. The ASID San Antonio Design Community and the ASID Texas Chapter appreciate all that you have given to us and the entire interior design industry over the years!
